However, the future need not be dystopian. There's a compelling vision of symbiosis: humans and machines amplifying each other’s strengths. Through techniques like human-in-the-loop learning, neural interfaces, and insight generation, AI can help humanity solve its hardest problems and transcend its current limitations.

Governance is equally critical. The stakes are high—impacting everything from global economies to democratic stability. Institutions like the OECD and IEEE have begun laying ethical frameworks, but meaningful regulation must evolve just as rapidly as the technology itself. A global consensus, including scientists, policymakers, and public voices, is essential to steward superintelligence responsibly.
